Fabulous at Failing

2015-2016

The adventures of an average high schooler and her many characters.
The first rendition of the comic. It was created shortly after Author and Artist, and lasted officially for a year or so before I took a break to work on Decampment Delusion (site wip). It featured me, and my childhood oc Liam as we encountered fun adventures hanging out with each other. The thought process for the comic wasn't really there, as I did this for fun!

Sym and her imaginary roommates.
This variant came after I got really into the culture of the comic hosting platform Webtoon, and wanted to make something closer to the vibes of the comics commonly found on the website. I think I also tried to make this for one of the contests...? But I never got around to finishing it, and then continued onto Justice Avenue soon after.

This version featured Lucas in the main lineup (as another childhood oc), and all of me and my ocs in a large apartment complex. Lucas's arrival forming the trio was meant to add balance, as I drew us as a group at this point. All the episodes got scrapped, especially considering they felt kind of try-hard to shoehorn myself into the box of catering towards the Webtoon crowd.

I was also transitioning into college after graduating, so I didn't know WHAT I really wanted. I thought I wanted to be an animator and then quickly switched to a cartoonist professionally. But.....yeah. Still a cartoonist! but as a hobby.

Justice Avenue

2019-2023

A diary-like slice of life that follows Sym and her journey throughout self identity, creation, and being surrounded by all of the characters she’s made.
My attempt at the series again. I tried to start off with some vague lore, as Liam, Lucas, and I were to be the main characters of this one as well, sprinkled with other miscellaneous oc-stories. This version (and the current) take place in a village (this version being an older variant) where I and all my ocs live. This was more comedy-esque only, kinda feeling out and making whatever at the time, which shows in the inconsistent way its drawn.

Not being consistent lead it to be hard to figure out exactly what I wanted to do with this series, but one thing reigned true, I wanted to spend time with my ocs. Hence, the reboot.

Birthday Comics

I made a comic for every one of my birthdays since 2020! They're mostly for me, but they also are a chance to interact with my ocs, or have them interact outside of me! I figure I'll probably continue making them, but it felt notable to mention.
